How it runs
- Very sluggish puddle that does not wash out on its own, so the rod must be placed deliberately
- Needs a wider joint preparation than steel because it will not flow into a tight bevel
- Resists hot cracking even when heavily diluted by the base metal
- Low heat input and stringer beads give the soundest deposit
Storage and handling
Keep rods in the sealed tube and handle with clean gloves; nickel alloy welds are very sensitive to sulphur and oil contamination.
