How it runs
- Very high deposition rate from the iron powder in the covering
- Shallow penetration with a wide, fluid puddle
- Heavy self-lifting slag that often pops off in one piece as it cools
- Smooth, flat, almost mechanical bead appearance
Storage and handling
Ordinary dry storage; the covering is not moisture controlled, but wet rods lose the drag characteristic and trap slag.
